When will the black community come together and self fund and open black owned grocery stores and deal with their own community problems and complaints. Be the very change you want to see. Every other ethnic background seems to be able to do it.

Just buying chicken at whole foods is expensive compared to a regular grocery store. I never understood how this would work.

Get woke go broke. This didnt make sense for the community. Wrong audience for a high end business. Also, of course its about profits. To deny that just shows complete ignorance of how business works.

Who is shocked at this? No one can afford whole foods, let alone people in englewood. I used to shop there occasionally when I lived in the area. Even homeless people outside asking for food said they didn't want anything from whole foods because it was too healthy lol. You have to want to be healthy and care about yourself to spend the money there. Unfortunately most people in a crappy situation just want junk and alcohol.
