I am so glad I turned off auto updates on my computer.

Also, I highly recommend saving important worlds on a flash drive, as a backup. Just in case.

I have since backed up everything I’ve made/ done because this sadly happened to me and all my friends and then some of us couldn’t even play on our realm until today :(

Holy cow.. the only thing that has happened to me is when i joined my world before my account got connected, and my map was the same but zero inventory zero progress. Fortunately exiting the save file and re joining fixed it

I’m now in the habit of backing up my data folder consistently and before any updates. Bedrock, MS store and XBOX apps have always been a nightmare, but this just about broke me.

Lost the world my friend and i played in before he died. We didn't get too far into it. I knew nothing about minecraft, so he basically did everything. Back then i was just really bored, but after like 5 years, i downloaded minecraft to with my partner and seen it was still in my worlds, i was a fucking mess for the rest of that day. Lol
I didn't have a copy of it, unfortunately.
The only way i know of to get it back is if i get access to his microsoft account, if it still exists.
Thankfully, i have other things to remember him by, still hurt to lose that, though.

I lost my worlds but not cause of the update but because they screw a update on some apps in my phone. Hours of building and fighting and it's all lost. (Sad Minecraft noises) 😔
