Working class leftie on council estate here. I don't trust Streeting or the Starmeroid Labour Party with the NHS at all. "Modernised" means sold off, we all know that.

It wouldn't be responsible to publish it if I had one, but I think a picture of where Wes Streeting lives and where I live would soon show who's middle class. He went to Cambridge University, I left school at 15.

As for AI scanners and other advanced medical technology. Purchased, involving an initial capital outlay or leased with no capital expediture, but costing more in the long run through profit-sucking fees to private providers? Hmm ... I wonder which?

I took my mother to A&E they referred her to urgent treatment centre(private) they had a look at mum & sent us back to A&E. The company will still get paid for seeing mum even though they did nothing. How is this any help?

Streeting thinks it’s so easy to setup a 7 day operating schedule when they already struggle to meet 5 days… I’m assuming all the invisible doctors nurses and extra surgeons will magically appear to make this happen….
He hasn’t even mentioned how social care would need gearing up to actually make this even possible so the patients can be discharged rather than spend days blocking beds! There is so much waste & poor productivity in procurement and ‘strategic’& & ‘corporate’ departments within trusts it’s shocking when they are busy ‘working from home’ for large parts of the week…

In the Streeting interview he gave an interesting insight as to why lefties should NOT 'hold their noses and vote Labour' (as so many people keep instructing us is our obligation). As he explicitly stated, Labour are seeking a mandate to privatise parts of the NHS. If you vote Labour you will be part of a positive endorsement for such a plan (at least as far as the next Labour government are concerned). If you don't want your vote to amount to such an endorsement (i.e. not just 'a vote against the Tories), then don't vote Labour....
