Eddie reminds me of my sister's first husband. He had some success with his trading and decided he was better than our family. He gave my sister what she described as an "iron age ultimatum" and she divorced him.

He comes up so often nearly thirty years later because he came crawling back exactly like Eddie. His good fortunes had fallen apart for whatever reason and he wanted his rock back.

The story goes that he showed up unannounced, tried to make amends, said some rehearsed lines, dumped on the new girl, tried to get loud when my sister ruthlessly laughed in his face, wound up stammering and running off like a punk when my future brother-in-law took exception to that.

Granted, a PO'd veteran with Ranger ink tends to have that effect. 😂
