Yep, Anne is wonderful. I didn't read it until I was probably close to your age and then I was hooked. After reading the whole Anne series, I searched out everything else by L.M. Montgomery. She has a fairly large catalog of books and short stories and I recommend them all. Happy reading.

Anne of Green Gables is definitely my favourite classic, I read it for the first time last year after growing up watching it sporadically. I need to get around to reading the rest of the series some time

I love the mini series so much! Growing up with that though, I did struggle a little at the beginning when I read this book. The character just felt a little different when she first gets to the farm. But I still ended up really enjoying the book. And Matthew!! He will always be my favorite secondary character, and have a special place in my heart.

Matthew Cuthbert is such a favorite of mine. He ranks up there with Samwise Gamgee from LOTR. I just love his personality and the way he loves Anne. He’s just the SWEETEST!

Anne of Green Gables is such a wonderful book! My mum doesn't read classics that often but I lent her the book to read and she fell in *love* with it. Will you be reading Anne of Avonlea?

I bought and e-book copy of this because I was interested in reading it before watching the mini series. But I also tend to avoid classics so I find myself at a stand still. I love finding books with strong and spunky female characters. I should really just go for it :)

I watched the movie when I was in school and wasn't a fan but then I watched an episode of Anne with an E on netflix and really loved it so I bought the book. I have yet to read it though 🙈
