2023 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback: TEST DRIVE+FULL REVIEW

'23 Sport Hatchback owner here, CVT, this exact same car. Off the line it's not very quick, but using the paddle shifters is key to getting better performance and really waking up the NA 2.0. On the freeway or after moving from a complete stop, double tapping the left paddle puts it right in the Sweet VTEC spot and it pulls really nicely. This happens even in Econ mode. The double tap will give you plenty of passing and acceleration power, trust me.

I'm coming from a 2011 Scion TC and the Civic feels so much more agile and the handling makes it such a joy to drive.

This is the best basic car for an everyday use. I have a 22 and I can't say I'm disappointed. It's a very good qaulity built car.

I was trying to get a HRV Sport and the dealers were having issues getting on, so I ended up with a 2024 hatchback sport in the same color. I love it! I can still fit my e bike in the back of this and it is stylish and looks great. Get a lot of compliments on it. Blind spots are great, and it has all the features I need.

Nice job Will. I think you are the first to do a 2023 review on this car. Doesn't look like any changes from the 22 except the loss of the LX and costing a little more.

I wonder how much faster and more fun the 6MT would be in this car? The CVT adds 60 lbs compared to the manual so that is something too.

I test drove a sport hatchback yesterday, road noise IMO was significant, much more so than my 14 year old lexus gx470 on 34" A/T and roof rack.

Your comments about the noise level are interesting: A lot of reviews that I've read say that this car has a lot of road noise, yet your audio makes it sound pretty quiet inside.
