Just wanted to clarify a couple things.

1. Battery percentage means nothing and is not an indication of when to change the battery.

2. The battery can perform well for years as this one did without any problem.

In no way was I saying that when your battery gets to 88% that you should replace it. Some batteries work fine when they are at 75% and lower. Apple really should get rid of the battery health percentage as it is not an accurate measure of much of anything.

I have had my iPhone 6s Plus since the day it released in September 2015 and had been using it and I would say I was somewhat of a power user my battery was at 82% so I took it to Apple near the end of January for a new battery and now its good as new. Works almost as fast as when it came out of the box. why spend $500-$1200 on a new phone when you can just pay $50 plus tax for a new battery. As long as my iPhone receives iOS updates then I will not upgrade!

My iPhone 6s is at 76% battery health and has stayed like that for almost a year now 😅

Guys, don’t obsess over the battery health until you’re at around the mid 70s in percentage. I have 2 iPhone 8’s- one with 94% battery health and the other with 88%. Downloaded the same apps, applied the same settings on both phones, and ran apps together at the same time on both phones. The difference was only 2-4% battery consumption. The only difference was that the 94% was running 12.1.2 while the 88% was running 12.1.3, so that could’ve been the culprit. Now, I have an iPhone 6s that I’ve used for 3 years and that one had a battery health of 76%. I started getting the warning like the one in this video. But I doubt I’d replace it since it’s still able to get around 3.45 hours and I have my iPhone 8. Based on these results and percentages, it’d be best to change battery around the 70s.

My iPhone 6 got really slow, and I did the battery replacement myself.  Huge improvement, and my Geek Bench scores went back to where they were when the phone was new.  My battery % said 85% which I would have considered OK, but the performance really suffered and a new battery brought it back to life.

I passed on my 6 plus a few years ago to a friend, who's still using it to this day. He just got the battery replaced and says he feels like it's a new phone.

My iPhone 7 Plus battery capacity is at 73% and I’ve never once had any unexpected shut downs and have never had any issues with updating my phone and I’ve had it for 4 years and it’s performance is at normal peak capacity also it has never died at 6% or lower

It's so hard not to look at the percentage of battery life haha. My heart sinks a bit each time it drops lol and it's at like 95% xD
