Here’s some advice: just enjoy your phone and if you need a new battery at a later date you can either upgrade or replace the battery.

There are more important things in life than worrying about the battery "life" or "health" of a PHONE. Use it, charge it and replace if necessary. Enjoy life ✌️

I took my 6S Plus in last year. Battery was on 76%, so put a new battery in and my older brother loves it now. Like a new iPhone and still got iOS 15 too 🙂 Just the best iPhone I’ve ever bought and I mean that. No other iPhone has ever impressed me like the 6S Plus did.

“It doesn’t affect the battery health” is incorrect. The correct answer is “BETAs CAN affect battery health.” The keyword is CAN, not WILL. If in your specific case the beta draws power extremely quickly and causes the battery percentage to drop way faster than normal, the excessive power draw and potential heat generated combined can reduce the battery life after even just a dozen or so charge cycles.

I tested this by using Minecraft at the highest tolerable settings exclusively on a brand new iPhone X almost daily for 1 hour for a year. It caused the battery percentage to drop very quickly and made the phone quite warm. After 1 year the battery health had dropped to 79%. My other iphone was reserved for non-cpu intensive apps like messages, safari, and other native apps, and even after 5-7 hours use per day, the battery health was at 97% after 2 years.

I was prompted to do this test when my iPad Pro 12.9 gen 1 battery life suddenly went from around 6 hours a day to 2 hours a day after letting my kids play minecraft on it almost daily for just under a year. iPads dont display battery health, so that’s when I decided to run the test with the iPhone.

TDLR: Battery health is affected by frequent use of excessively cpu intensive apps that cause the battery percentage to drop very quickly and heat up above normal. (This can include betas IF the beta in your case is causing your phone’s battery percentage to drop abnormally fast and heat up the phone quite a bit.)

have had my Iphone 7 for two years now and it's still at 97% battery health on ios 15. The strategy that I use is to normally charge up to around 85-90% and then don't let it drain below 25% and it seems to work

With all your battery health videos adjustment’s I saved so much battery on my iPhone 12 Pro Max I get a staggering 18 hours on my phone before it reaches 3 percent, and I’m a heavy user too! Thankyou so much

I just used the Support App to schedule a Genius Bar appointment to have the battery replaced in my iPhone 8 Plus. My battery health level was at 78%. It feels like getting a new phone after the replacement. Cost was $49 and I was able to get a same day appointment at the Apple Store. Thanks for doing this video. Cheers 😊

Thank you for this video! Battery health is one of most talked about things on Reddit and forums in general. I got my 12 (non pro and non max) back in August 2021 and I use both fast charging and slow charging. After 6 months I’m at 96% battery health. I was told to not worry about it and just use and enjoy my device. Thank you for clearing up myths and misconceptions! Very well done here in this video 👍🏻

Had iPhone X and didn't know about that kind of charging side at this point (i just charged) and in 4 years it was like 82-84% battery health. But lately have heard about that keep it 100% as well. If it's not over charing and it's all about cycles, then it's great to maintain 100% and do small charges

I've had my iPhone 13 Pro Max for 2 months and I've been charging it every 2 days, typically 9am to 11am from around 20% and my battery has dropped to 99%. I'm not overly concerned as I tend to upgrade every year and I usually pass my phones down to my daughter.

I very rarely leave it plugged in overnight and I never use wireless charging (I don't own a wireless charger). I plug it in when I need to, usually by the end of the day and disconnect it when I go to sleep. 80% on an iPhone 13 Pro gets me through the whole day easily, so I usually disconnect at that percentage.

I don't stress about my battery health, but I got used to plugging it in at around 20-30% and disconecting at 75-85%, which I believe is best for the health of the battery.

My iPhone XS was at 84% battery health after 3 years of use and charging it as described above, but now my 13 Pro that I got on release day is at 100% still.

I have noticed that the worst thing for your battery is extreme cold or hot weather, so I avoid leaving my phone out in the sun in the middle of the summer for longer periods of time. Same goes for when temperature is below freezing - I wouldn't leave it outside on a table exposed to the cold.

In the end, batteries are consumables and should be treated as such. Just enjoy it while you still have it! Great video Aaron :) Super informative!

Great video as always! My iPhone 12 is almost 1 year old and it has a 100% battery health. I use it every single day as my main device and I keep it typically between 20% and 80%. I usually charge it with a 5W Apple charger but sometimes with a 20W as well.
