I work in the landfill industry. Leachate is the name for the water that has been percolating through the trash, often for years. It looks like petroleum, and reeks. It has got who knows how many horrible things dissolved or suspended in it. Whenever I have to go to Golgotha I just imagine the look and smell of landfill leachate. A place permeated with it. Horrific.

Really great sound design with the level, felt really nice when my sore throat became glotrot. The epic quest to find a cure was intense.

golgotha is super fun on true kin playthroughs, rubbergum injector, yeet yourself into the chute, pick up the droid, recoiler out, quest done in 15 seconds lol

Deadly robots, ticks that spit lightning at you, swarming chute crabs, broken ventilation ducts that now spew out crap like scalding steam and toxic gas, pools of sludge that either rusts your equipment, poisons you or gives you 1 of 2 nasty diseases, little sewer eels that hide in said sludge and that will make you trip and fall in, and giant spiders that can teleport you all over the place are just some of the hazards you will face in Golgotha.

And lets not forget the boss at the bottom, The Slog of the Cloaca: a huge mutated slug that can spew deadly sludge at you.
