The first thing you do is pray to the motorcycling God and repent for the egregious sin of not being perfect

After I dropped my zx6 and she fell on my leg, I think I should've had someone else try to pick it up for me. I used this method but in hindsight it was probably more important to take care of my leg rather than panic about the bike at the time because it was a minor injury but I'm not sure it healed properly because I tried to do too much when it was freshly injured. Honestly once you fall, fuck the bike, prioritize yourself.

Pro Tip - If it falls over the other side, extend the kick-stand before you stand it up. I didn't do this and i was trapped, bike up but i couldn't get around to put the stand down... Ended up waiving over a passing driver and he put the stand down.

I also recommend checking your tires for the presence of oil (or anything slick). 1) It may have been the cause of your fall in the first place. 2) If your bike did leak any fluids while falling or on it's side it could have ended up on your tire. (although somewhat unlikely)

I did this yesterday 😢 I actually think I lifted it back up quicker than it went down because of embarrassment. Luckily I only damaged the lever and a couple scratches on the mirrors and a sore wrist. One thing I will say as the video suggests DONT wear boots with laces.

My tip for new riders: Don't forget to put your bike in neutral gear ( if it was in gear before the fall ) after the fall, otherwise you will end up like me trying to figure out why the bike won't start for 20 minutes lol

Step 1 pick up bike

Step 2 act like nothing happened

Step 3 leave fast as possible or run inside

Step 4 yell FUCK loud as possible

I ride my Hayabusa and 954 on glare ice all winter. Good technique for lifting it is important when you're standing on a skating rink. On the plus side, no such thing as road rash but the walk back to the bike can sometimes take a while.

I had a lowside when I still had like 3 months riding. I did a deadlift to my bike, and the shiftlever bent so that it did a clunky noise when shifting. I did all that thanks to your videos, and I thank all of you from here. You and Chicho Lorenzo's channel❤️

I came off my bike the first day! One minute I'm riding round a corner, the next I'm sliding down the road with my bike sliding ahead of me thinking 'noooo... my bike!!' 😆

The very first thing you should do, in my opinion, is hit the kill switch and turn off the ignition literally as soon as you can.
The bike could be leaking petrol onto you and/or live electrical components, which is way more dangerous than a possible twisted/broken ankle or some slight bruising.
If the bike blows or burns down to the frame, you’re definitely not riding home, broken bones or not.

I learned a lesson in cold tires/cold road and lowsided going around 45. I definitely ran and picked it up before I made sure all of my limbs were still attached lol

Happens to everyone.. Yet if you were to ask the sellers of every bike on Craigslist and compile all the answers, it literally has never happened once.

I have dropped my harley sportster 1200(~560 lbs) once, while seated on it. I just used my left side leg to push to bike back up. Don't skip leg day folks.
