80 ml olive lin or vegetable oil
1 tsp salt
250 ml hot water
Filling:
40 g fresh dill and coriander
700 g ground beef
2 sliced onions (in small pieces)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
400 ml water
Instructions:
1. Mix and knead all ingredients (flour, hot water, oil and salt) in a mixer or by hand for about 7 minutes.
2. Cover the dough and let the dough rest for about 30 min while you prepare the filling.
3. Mix beef, herbs, onion, salt, pepper and water. Add more water if needed. The consistency should be very soft and watery.
4. Sprinkle working surface with flour so dough does not get stuck when you work with it.
5. Cut the dough in 16 pieces.
6. Roll each pieces in a thin circle the size of about 20 cm in diameter.
6. Add filing on one half of the circle in the centre. Spread on the half circle except on the edges. Leave about 2 cm around edges for closing the edges.
7. Cover the filling with the dough on the other side of the circle.
8. Pinch the ends very well.
9. Fry on medium heat with enough oil to cover the bottom of the meat pie until golden (about 3 min).
10. Flip and until golden the other side (about 3 min).
Enjoy!
