The Commander-in-TEACH returns for his second term on trigonometric identities, aka trig identities. Here, we dive into it hard, covering more complex examples. We use factoring, common denominators, and algebra skills for simplifying trig expressions. We revisit pythagorean identities and discuss quadrants as well. Enjoy the vibes, YAY MATH!

I'll never forget the quadratic equation because of a video I saw on your website years ago, so I am so thrilled to have just discovered your channel. I've recommended Yay Math to everyone who's ever told me they were struggling in math.

hey yaymath I want to preface this by saying thank you for explaining something quite complex in a really easy fashion, It's thanks to channels like you I can learn maths leisurely for fun at home. I have a question, in the second to last example surely the answer could also be 1/root 2 as well, because it says when tan theta = -1, but surely that could be 1/-1 or -1/1 so you could use either 45 degree angle in the triangle as the basis for sine. Im not sure if this will make sense to you or anyone, but thanks anyway! :)
