Find the center of your steering box, then pull off your steering wheel, straighten it, and replace.

Might as well hook up everything else first since you got it marked, then when your done center the steering wheel with the wheels straight

You have to center the clocking springs and levers. This goes for all vehicles. You center the wheel to the clocking system for the turn signal. Then you center the arm based off of the steering wheel.

Except the shaft is keyed for straight and so is the pitman arm. I don’t remember exactly but my Bronco turned sharper one direction better than the other … and the power steering pump moaned permanently 😂

I had a 99 miata that was owned by a spanish body shop before i got it. The shitty aftermarket steering wheel was on crooked because the holes on it didnt align with the steering wheel hub. Put the stock one on and it was 100% straight, just had to rip out the siren like horn they put in

I usually center the box before I put it in the car then center the wheel hook up the steering shaft center the steering rack and hook up the pitman arm to the steering rack

The drag link is what you adjust to center the wheel...

I took out the whole box, found the center and slapped that nfker back in. I wish i saw rhis before i did that.

What if your drag link is already adjusted but not adjusted correctly?

Well since most old cars were keyed. You can not pull the wheel and move it. Its got 1 spot. Thats it. Pretty sure the pitman arm is the same. Good luck with that.

You can't do that on late model steering columns without centering your clock spring.
