Two women and their two dogs were rescued by a US navy vessel after drifting in the Pacific Ocean for five months. They had left Hawaii in May to travel to Tahiti, but their engine failed during a storm. It is thought they were too far away from other ships for their distress signals to be heard. They were found about 900 miles from the Japanese coast.

Sharks attacking the boat -- Really? In 12 years of living and traveling on our sailboat we've never heard of that. Something smells fishy.

Absurd... What, No EPIRB? No SSB Or VHF? No AIS? No Attempt To Use The Main Or Jib? Five Months Of Abject Stupidity.

For as little as 150.00 you can buy a personal locator beacon, when you turn it on it will send your exact location to SAR through satellite signals, they know within ten minutes where you're at, something not right about this story.

After 5 months all you would find of those dogs would be in my bowel movement.

That is why U do not go to sea w/o the proper radio equipment. Any questions on this, contact the Coast Guard

Still looks like women occasionally need a man around... Though six months from now she'll accuse some of the men of sexual abuse for touching her when they helped her aboard.
