2 mariners rescued after being adrift in the Pacific for 5 months

The two women and their dogs were rescued by the Navy after being spotted 900 miles off the coast of Japan.

There was no major storm in that region on that date, neither women nor dogs are in any way sunburnt or injured, if the blond woman spent 2 1/2 years building the boat she'd know how to bypass the ignition switch or fix a spreader "bolt", cans work if you have a can opener. These women have had five months, apparently, to come up with a decent story and that's all they got? Totally fake, they've been chilling on some islands for almost 5 months and decided to make this up to try and get famous and $$$$.

What about having a GPS emergency beacon that is water sealed in a flotation device - say one attached to a lifevest and another to the inside of the hull just below the ledge (or whatever it's called)? And, maybe add a couple of flares? I'm no mariner, but if they planned to be at sea for up to a year, it seems common sensical to prepare most adequately for inclement weather, the greatest threat to their survival? Perhaps they did, but it wasn't reported. (I'm not sure how heroic the Navy was in this case, but credit them for always being prepared.)

Looking at the weed up the hull they have not had the sails up much if at all. She's just been sat there wollowing. They have a wind gene and some PV so their batts will be okay. Are they saying they put out a mayday on the VHF every day for five months and failed to raise anyone? This isn't adding up.

Good, USS ASHLAND crew are the ones that deserve the person of the week, good job. I spent alot of time on the water in my youth so this story caught my attention. Something doesnt add up with these woman, no EPIRB, gps, etc, left a port without performing repairs, even if boat is big to enter drop anchor, dont make a run to the cook islands... she claims to have built the boat yet cant juryrig a spreader bolt to at least carry partial sail, oh and one claimed to be an "actress". Hopefully this is just a unique incompetance and not a setup for publicity.

When you put your filter glasses on, one can't help but notice that the white women is featured in many more images that appear positive. I was beginning to wonder if the black lady was mute or something, since they didn't go to her until the end of the clip and then what do we get? Yep, the one response chosen makes her look like a fool...damn it never stops, does it? Once you see it, it's just like in "The Matrix"... Red pill or Blue pill? Have an objective day people...
