Thank you for taking the time and trouble to produce the weekly highlight or Deep Dive. I’ve watched them all so far and it will be fascinating to see how the seasonal patterns develop and observe longer term trend changes. You really do help bring the weather alive with excellent graphics and the practical application of statistics which should be celebrated. Thank you to the presenters and the production team for delivering truly effective content. I’d personally like to go even further into the detail but appreciate not every one may agree. Thank you, again !

Many thanks Met Office/Alex and Aidan for these really informative Deep Dives - I always look forward to them. Just to say I particularly like it when you throw in a little weather theory (e.g. how jetstream above influences formation of low pressure systems). I’d love to hear more from you about weather fronts - what is going on/why they form where they do and how you forecast their location. Cheers. Paul

Love the fascinating explanations.
And appreciate the delivery Alex; human, natural, flowing - hopefully the youngsters will slowly relax & adapt to the same in time. A great channel.

This looks like a series of atmospheric rivers, doesn't it? The UK needs rain, but perhaps not a deluge all at once. Thank you again for this Deep Dive from UK MetOffice.

Excellent because : the progress bar uses 'chapters', occasional nuggets of 'deeper' information - like its the curvature of the jetstream that accelerates or slows surface level winds, overall excellent presentation. I play this video at least twice a week to compare the forecasts with the actual local weather for that day. One of the few times your long term forecast varies noticeably from the actual weather is when the middle of a small-scale low tracks across the middle of the UK. (Manchester area) So 9.9995 out of 10. Thanks for the effort and attention to detail.

Very many thanks indeed Alex, I really enjoyed the Deep Dive again this week, they’re so very interesting and so informative, brilliant!😊 I’d thought Friday was going to be the turning point for a good week next week, apparently the weather has other ideas, which differ to mine. 🙄 Still, from Tuesday or Wednesday it looks as though it differs a little, if only by temperature! 🤒 No sun yet, but I’m sure it will. I love the DDs, so, so interesting and you both do an excellent job! Thanks again Alex, you’re a 💎

Thanks Alex, another great Deep Dive. Echoing some of the comments above, I’d like to see some more info on the how and why of our weather. I think there are plenty of us ready to learn more and providing some more detail on the science would nicely differentiate the Deep Dive from the 10 Day Trend. Thanks again! Regards Jim

Good to see a more in-depth forecast and to see what challenges you have predicting it !

Superbly presented content again, its great the level of detail that you go into in covering many aspects of the forecast. You say you read comments so I've a suggestion, I'd really like it if you could talk a little about the polar vortex and what's happening at the moment in the breakdown of it from winter to spring and how much its still influencing some of the recent colder spells is it still SSW hangover, does the polar vortex just disappear? really enjoy the vids and look forward to them thank you 😊
