I love the Deep Dive. It's proper, measured meteorology (complicated stuff made accessible and interesting without dumbing down). Top marks, the best forecasting!

Thanks Aidan. Amazed (not really) that some tabloid newspapers were predicting a return of the "Beast from the East" last week. I'm guessing their seaweed was a bit dryer than normal.

Another fascinating Deep Dive. I really enjoy them as well as putting the weather in a more detailed context. As for subscribing, you are preaching to the converted - been a subscriber for some time now!!!! Seriously though, thank you for putting the Sudden Stratospheric Warning in perspective. According to some media outlets that I have seen, cold weather has been predicted for a precise date & time & a 'Beast from the East' is a dead cert!!!Thank you once again, I really appreciate these videos

Well done the Met Office; a super forecast with proper details, reasoning and technical explanations! Not all the general public are gormless morons so it is good to see you catering for the 5% of the population who are capable of comprehending the basics of the sciences involved with meteorology.

One thing I think we're all quite nervous about is whether the ground has recovered from last summer's drought, how much rain we've had over the winter compared to average and what the outlook is for precipitation in the forecastable future. A bit of year-to-date statistics wouldn't go amiss alongside the looking forward.
