On June 24th, 2002 15 year old Kara Robinson (Katie Douglas) was having a sleepover with her best friend Jerni Stewart. The mother, Debra Robinson (Cara Buono), was a married mother of 1. The Mother and the Father Ron Robinson (Paul Essembre) were at work at the moment. Jerni and Kara just woke up and were making plans to go on Karas boy friends baseball game. Her mother decided she could go. Jerni was going to take a shower while Kara was going to water flowers. A man came up to her, Richard Evonitz (Kristian Bruun) started making conversation. He then pulled out a gun and started to shove her into a plastic tub inside his trunk. He gagged her. He took her to his apartment and started saying rules she had to follow. Such as calling him "daddy." He would ask her questions like, "What's your name?"(Kara) "How old are you?" (15)"Do you have a boyfriend?" (Yes). He also continued to insult her about how sad her life was. She was assaulted many times. At one point, she asked if she could do anything for him. He said, "You can sweep the floor." While she was sweeping, she tried to remember numbers on business cards that were on the fridge. This man got close and started telling her about his life. He had a clean house just like anyone would. He loved animals and even had birds, rats, hermetcrabs, guinea pigs, and fish. One time, while she was "watching TV, " she looked over near him where he was in the kitchen and saw him take something out of a box under a cage. He noticed and started to rape her and throw her around for watching him. Jerni was worried after she found out Kara was gone. She called Kara's mother, asking if she knew where Kara was she said, "No." They called the police, saying Kara had disappeared. The first day had gone by, and it was now morning time she slept next to the man who was still asleep. Her arms and legs were chained up, and again, she was gagged. She slipped out from under the chains slowly and quietly. She then took the gag out of her mouth. Once she was out of the apartment, she ran and ran and ran. Until she got to a car with two older men inside, she yelled, terrified asking them to drive her to the police station. One of the police men took Kara into his office and asked her what had happened. The two men were being asked where the girl was found, and they started saying the adress "Beach Wood Apartments 20206 exchange." Kara was able to call her mother to pick her up, and she started driving to the police station right away. Two officers drove Kara to the complex, and the landlord was outside. The officers were giving a description of what the man looked like, and Kara came out and was describing what the mans apartment looked like. The landlord said the apartment was 301. The mother showed up at the police station and hugged her daughter after she came through the door. The police searched everywhere around the apartment, and nobody was there. One of the police officers was asking Kara if she had any other information. Kara said, "He was discharged from the navy a couple of years ago. He has a parrot key, Actually, i think it's a cocktail. His name is Clyde, and he has had it longer than any of his other pets. The woman that he lives with is probably in Disney World right now with somebody else. He has to go back to work tomorrow, something else with like air compressors. His family doctor's name is Dr.Reets, and his phone number for that is (803)-555-6714. He has a history of anxiety. He's got a dentist as well his name is Dr. Grambnumlin. His phone number is (803)-555-8562. There's a box, a big box under one of his cages, which he did NOT want me to know about, so you should probably check under there. Whatever that is, you should find that. In the box was a formal shirt and pants, womans underwear (that weren't Karas), a bunch of old newspapers of missing girls, and a notebook that he wrote in. The police station started handing out "wanted" signs for Richard. Evonitz wife and mother were at Disney World and are coming back to answer some questions. Also, the sister is coming as well. Richard had kidnapped many girls before Kara. Police were surronding and investigating Karas house. Kara was annoyed and frustrated that all the police were at her house 24/7, but they had to be to protect Kara. Kara argued with her mom, saying she wanted to go to the baseball game. Her mother said no, and it was not safe if Richard was still roaming around. Kara continued to say, "Just because "THIS" doesn't change anything. I want to be normal and not like this." The police found out where Richard was by his sister. He was staying at a hotel. When the police showed up at the hotel, Richard was gone. And it seemed he left in a hurry. They heard the man was next going to a restaurant. The police were in the car waiting for their victim. They saw Richard walking towards them, not knowing. He turned around and started to run. One police officer started chasing Richard down, and the other was driving to catch Richard. Kara was with her friend at her boyfriends baseball game. Richard was near the game and was surrounded by police officers. He was told to put down his weapon...
