It’s sad that it was based on a true story 😢

Bro thought he had the balls to make her call him daddy💀

So glad she escaped.
Edit: (I watched the whole movie, there’s a joke in my comment “he though he had the balls” and for the people who have to go through being touched innaproprietely with no content, I’m so sorry that happened to you.)

Explanation:

15 year old Kara Robinson (Katie Douglas) was having a sleepover with her best friend Jerni Stewart. The mother, Debra Robinson (Cara Buono), was a single mother at work at the moment. Her friend was going to take a shower while Kara was going to water flowers. A man came up to her, Richard Evonitz (Kristian Bruun) started making conversation. He then pulled out a gun and started to shove her into a plastic tub inside his trunk. He took her to his apartment and started saying rules she had to follow. Such as calling him daddy. He would ask her questions like, "What's your name?"(Kara) "How old are you?" (15)"Do you have a boyfriend?" (No). He also continued to insult her about how sad her life was. She was assaulted many times. At one point, she asked if she could do anything for him. He said, "You can sweep the floor." While she was sweeping, she tried to remember numbers that were on the fridge. This man got close and started telling her about his life. He had a clean house just like anyone would. He loved animals and even had a few birds. One time, while she was "watching TV, " she looked over near him where he was in the kitchen and saw him take something out of a box under one of his cabinets. He noticed and started to abuse her and throw her around for looking. The friend was worried after she found out Kara was gone. She called Kara's mother, asking if she knew where Kara was she said, "No." They called the police and was under investigation where Kara had gone. The first day had gone by, and it was now morning time she slept next to the man who was still asleep. Her arms and legs were chained up. She slipped out from under the chains slowly and quietly. Once she was out of the apartment, she ran and ran and ran. Until she got to a car with two older men inside, she yelled, terrified asking them to drive her to the police station. They were totally confused. She told everything to the police and the next day that started to investigate the man's apartment. On June 24th, 2002, Richard Evonitz was arrested for kidnapping and assaulting a 15 year old girl for 18 hours.

I love this movie but it was sad but the only part that made me laugh was when he said “and you will always call me daddy”
