Fixing a Hole is a standout on an album full of great tracks. It might be my favorite track on the album.

This was George’s only guitar solo on the album. Paul played the solos on Mr Kite and Good Morning.

Beatles loved movies & television, laughing when ringo said " mr ed" to sullivan, & george on an interview said " its twue, it's twue" from blazing saddles, i wonder if his guitar is named after "rocket j squirrel" from bullwinkle, funny cartoon for it's time

If John played bass…and missed that note…that variation makes the bass line all the better.

In Revolution in the Head by Ian MacDonald it is stated that Paul plays bass, John only does backing vocal. Are you absolutely certain that John played bass?

It's referring to a hole paul saw on an acid trip. He says he still sees it occasionally and he knows what it is.
