Hey, this is one of my favorite jams! It tastes like smelling a pine forest covered in honey, and the texture of the pinecones is similar to a chewy strawberry. They actually taste pretty good.
Also, for those who don't know, Borjomi is also home to one of the best-tasting mineral water springs in the world (imo), and it's quite popular in Eastern Europe.

This is so interesting. Pines are my favourite trees and I love collecting pine cones just for fun and decoration but I never thought they could be eaten. Thanks for sharing, Beryl. :)

Thank u for the gerogian representation this made me so happy 😭 Btw borjomi has one of the best mineral waters, it has a powerful taste and some might even call it a bit salty, its very unique and i recommend you try it. Its available in most places in Eastern Europe or shops related to that region :)

Me being a softie tearing up for food, cause I know what food can do for people and how it can be the thing that bring us together. I have hope for us I just wish we could hurry up and come together and enjoy each other's cuisines, laugh, and live together.

Did you know they also make jam from baby walnuts? The whole thing, shells and all. It becomes tender and very flavorful.

I wonder who thought “lemme get the small sized of the pine cones, make into a jam and then it becomes edible” …
