This is hands down the best video tutorial I've seen for putting in a zipper on a corded pillow! (and I've watched a bunch in the past few days) I made new covers for 3 large pillows that are the back cushions on my son's favorite (well-loved and dirty) sofa. I am so glad I found this! I was asked to make a pillow as a gift for the national president of an organization I belong to from our unit. (No pressure, right? Lol.). I decided on a cathedral window with an embroidered emblem on the front and an embroidered back. Then decided on cording too. As I applied the cording, it dawned on me, “ I’ve never installed a zipper with cording!” Thanks to this wonderfully explained tutorial, all went well on the first try! It turned out so beautiful! My local unit was stunned when I unveiled the finished product. It will be presented to the president of our organization on the 10th of may. Thanks so much for this! I used your directions to make three pillows, one with fringe and two with self-made piping. I used down alternative inserts. Each one cost about $25 in materials but they feel and look like more expensive pillows. I used 20" squares of fabric to begin with which fit my 20" inserts beautifully. For future reference, this was what I did the first few days during the Corona virus pandemic isolation.

Thanks for this tutorial! I learned to do this around 2003 with a tutorial on a VHS tape that I think came from The Pillow Lady! That tape went missing and now 16 years later I want to make pillows but all I have are my notes from that tape.
