The Xbox Series X has been touted as a 12 Teraflop beast with some of Microsoft's own marketing team saying that 60fps would be considered a standard frame rate for the console. Well it looks like Assassins Creed Valhalla could be 30fps instead with Ubisoft going for more of a graphically intensive game instead. One eBay one of the rarest games for retro collectors popped up, but the price seems a bit out there being listed at 130 thousand dollars.

ALL developers should try to get a smooth 60fps as standard in their games, if for some reason that’s not possible they should at the very least offer two modes, 4K/30fps and *insert resolution*/60fps.

The hell is with this push for native 4K over frame-rate? Even strong PCs struggle to run some games at a full 4K 60fps. Why are publishers not giving the player options? I don’t care if Ubisoft have to bring the new AC down to 1080p...if it means it’ll run at 60- it’ll take it. Just give us the option.

Bethesda is strange. Shows up during the launch of the Switch with Skyrim and becomes any Nintendo fans favorite third party publisher.
Why then not just keep on going with additional open-world games like Fallout 3 and 4 and so on instead of putting everything on the disaster that was Fallout 76?

Not providing a 60fps option with lower res or graphics is a huge mistake.
I'm surprised that Xbox are part of this promotion, advertising 4k 30 fps with their new flagship system is not a good look when their current system also does 4k 30fps

I'm aware its not the same and visually it will be better. But the label 4k 30fps is xbox1x gen. Not series x gen.

I love how Microsoft and Sony are apparently in a price standoff with each other. If Lockhart is a real deal, it seems like at the end of the day Microsoft will have a lower price move either way. I'll curious to see how all of that turns out.

The best part of Skyrim was modding it. Starfield and ES6 will be difficult to mod so they can sell you "paid mods" via microtransactions. I don't know why people are still hyped for that Creation Club and Fallout 76 show us where bethesda is going

We should not be going into next gen with 30fps like at all. I'd expect a baseline of 60fps for 4k games.

No excuses for 30fps games. I don't care how good the game looks, it will always look better at 60fps. This is not a picture that you just look at standing still.

I can see it now:
Xbox tricking sony: "Series X will be under $700" (but intentionally not say the exact price).
Sony: _gets tricked into revealing their price_
Xbox: reveals a lower price.

Worst case senario is they keep going around in a circle of "less thans" that start at some extreme of "well yeah, duh, we already thought that. It would be bad if it WASN'T less than that" but keeps getting lower.
