John Oliver actually red pilled me. I used to be very progressive and watched his show religiously then one episode he covered Brexit which I supported. He painted all pro Brexit voters with a broad brush which amounted to "The only reason anyone would vote for this is because they are racist". I knew I wasn't racist, I knew my reasons for voting for Brexit, and I watched him pretend people like me don't exist or are something we aren't. I instantly lost all trust in him and it made me reconsider everything he ever said. It just takes 1 lie to open your eyes to their entire grift.
