Alan Rickman is such a gifted actor who is extremely kind, down-to-earth, and wonderful human being. I loved his reading of poetry in Sense and Sensibility near the end. I had not watched him in any Harry Potter movies so I had no idea who he was or how talented an actor he was. Wish he had not passed away so prematurely, gone before his time. He was still so young.

He was such a wonderful actor, but the most important thing was that in real life he was very generous, sweet, a little shy, very witty, and had a huge heart. Very down to earth he was. He was a rarity in the Hollywood realm. Many actors/actresses are egocentric and it showed. I would have liked to meet him in person and be on stage with him. I bet he was wonderful to work with. It's horrible that he was taken too soon from us. RIP Alan. You are ALWAYS in our hearts.

Sometimes I imagine Alan in heaven and still hiding from all of us who get there as well and who love him so and I giggle.

Poor boy, he insisted on not playing villains despite the audience and movie makers loved him in these roles. He would have been insanely rich if he had chosen to play the hollywood game. But no, he didn't want to give up his principles and get typecast.
But I'm immensely glad he accepted the role of Severus Snape. That sums up his legacy!!!

He is the epitome of someone who is just so naturally beautiful and virtuous. We truly didn’t deserve a man this pure and special and that may be one of the reasons why he was taken from us so soon.
