you solved the issue. most people talking bad about the fact you were successful are the type who grew up with a shtty dad who did everything society told him to ensure he doesnt get made fun of at the expense of their honor and dignity. you did what humans should do and thats problem solve and you solved the problem. issue over. youre type of problem solving is what allowed humanity to make it through thousands of years, these people in the comments have to do things 1 way, the way they're told or they die off...

Sorry for a the people that make fun of you and the video. It was helpful for me. Now after I know how to get to the bolts I can screw them tight :)

This is the funniest construction video I’ve ever seen. Never thought I’d see a man hammering a screw with a socket wrench to tighten a nut.

Was looking for another video but stuck around because of the comedy. Good job.

Next project change your smoke detector batteries and stop the chirp.... Important to use the wrench to beat the battery door closed 🤣

Interest video. I built my stair rails years ago and they’re loosing up. I didn’t know how to access the bolts. Didn’t think about drilling the caps out. My caps are underneath and are oat so it’s tough to drill. One little tip that might help you a little bit. The screw that was too long, you could get a small hack saw and cut it down so the wrench will fit over it. Also when i built my rails, Home Depot had these brackets that screws into the post and floor and made it super staple. It came with a wood trim to hide the brackets.

For the covers just buy a piece of oak and cut it the same diameter, stain it before, a small smear of Titebond 3 around the outside and use a rubber mallet to hammer it into place. Easy and better looking. But I guess if it comes loose all the time easier access might be worth it.

How would you fix a round newel post? It doesn't show that type of attaching system?

Using the rachet as a hammer?
Should of left the drywall screws in.
