Body camera video: Gabby Petito, Brian Laundrie describe their argument

On August 12, Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie were pulled over by Utah police. In these clips from Moab police body camera video, an emotional encounter plays out as they describe their argument from earlier in the day that almost led to a domestic violent charge. Police eventually decided not to cite Gabby, who later went missing.

Classic abuser. Wear her down until she cries, then call her crazy for crying. If this were Ontario, the police would have had to bring him in and Gabby would be alive today.

Shocked at the amount of people trying to blame Gabby. The person who called 911 said he saw a man hitting a woman. Gabby said he locked her out of the car, they began to argue, he wasn't listening, and she hit him. She is very upset blaming herself and he's joking with the cops. He locked her out of the car and she was probably scared. If she were abusive and crazy then why is she dead. He returned home alone on Sept 1, only to go "missing." Now he's got a lawyer and won't talk to police. To me it sounds like he was mentally and physically abusive and she thinks everything is her fault.

So heartbreaking that she was too young to know and too young to say what a woman finally learns to say in her 30s: "I OWN the van. He locked me out of it. He is emotionally abusive. He is a freeloader. He was stealing my property. I would like a female cop or female social worker here. It is not in my favor to be outnumbered here by men. I do not feel protected and heard in this situation."

Has anyone realized that this might be the last time she was seen alive? I don't wan to be negative, but if she was alive wouldn't he have said where to pick her up? His silence is for defense, not to help her. He knows exactly what happened and lawyering up is not going to find her, only protect him from prosecution.

2:59 is so devastating. The look in her eyes and her posture, she looks so destroyed and helpless. Knowing what happens only a short period of time after this is heart breaking.
