New Bodycam Footage In Gabby Petito Case Released

As the manhunt for Gabby Petito’s fiancé Brian Laundrie intensifies, police in Utah released additional bodycam footage of the couple following an altercation just weeks before Petito disappeared. NBC’s Sam Brock reports for TODAY from Coral Gables, Florida.

Brian is missing, and his parents are not trying to find him? Thats odd. I think they know exactly where he is.

I want to scream. Officers, judges, lawyers…all need domestic violence training and how to spot abuse. As a survivor I can tell you how easy an abuser can flip the script and make you look like the bad guy or abuser. That’s what they do, that’s what they’re good at: lying and manipulation.
That poor girl needed a hug and needed help.

This girl was obviously very, very upset for a reason and if my daughter had been in that state i would have hoped that the police would have arranged to bring her with them and accompany her home to her family with her permission of course. If this had been done she would be here today. Seeing the girl in such a state they should haved talked her around to leaving with them for her own safety. I think the police failed miserably.

Police ignored fact: The the van was legally registered to Gabby (her property), both said he locked her out of it, also put her stuff out (he said), he took her phone, putting her in danger out there, the reasons for her behavior were ignored completely. His marks due to her self-defense and of property. Police jumped to conclusion of "mental illness" only bc she explained her behaviors as "OCD." No ticket or warning tho 2 stories why he hit curb, speeding was not her fault but passed off with apology.

All of this is what many of us knew from the start. It's so clear she is afraid of him and that he'd been hitting her. How dare they write this off as the woman in the case being mentally ill?

It’s chilling how the domestic abuser allegedly turned murderer succeeded in making himself out to be the victim with the police officers, who talked about him being in the position of a battered man.

The Officer on this cam needs to be fired. After bonding with Brian and asking him if we should arrest her. It's obvious she is distraught and Brian smiling is the master manipulator. Police definitely to be trained on domestic abuse!!

It’s kinda difficult for me to believe that Brian is still alive after 2 weeks of being missing and not spotted when literally the world has been looking for him. I don’t think someone would be dumb enough to run away and not expect to be caught, especially in 2021.

This relationship was a train wreck waiting . Everyone needs to teach their children on toxic relationships.
Physical abuse should be an indication of getting out . Not fixing or tolerating a person . We all know with physical abuse goes hand in hand with Mental abuse.
Cops should have taken both of them into jail with an mental assessment for Gabby at the hospital at that time she would possibly have opened up to a nurse on what had been happening.
She was a very young 22yrs and her being so distraught should have had them phoning her folks to say she was being charged with domestic … We know her dad would have gone to get her then .
The outcome would have been very different.
BL fed in to her anxiety he got off on getting her so distraught; you can see his Ego in the way he corresponded with the police, he felt validated.

There are Laws so that police don't use their feelings to make a judgment call and that is exactly what they did .and it cost her her life
