I realised that I have been ruminating for the past 6 years. It's always about sex, physical health and bullying. Now I can start to stop thinking. I will recover ❤❤

Very nice video. Be careful what you feed your mind. To feel better reduce negative thoughts. Avoid comparing with others, reduce negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress-anxiety. To relax sit on a chair or lie down, neck straight, eyes closed, avoid moving too much and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. Never meditate with expectations but with awareness. Don’t fight your thoughts. With daily practice the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Observe your breath sensations before sleep, when reading, in the kitchen, when taking a walk etc Like me, make this a lifetime daily habit to have a better life. Best wishes--Counsellor.

I got misdiagnosed as bipolar instead of PTSD. I knew it was wrong and fell into rumination. That misdiagnoses basically drove me BATTY

Thanks for this helpful tip!! This video popped up at the most precise moment. I didn’t realize I was actually ruminating but will most definitely follow your advice. Thanks again for what you do.

I don't know what triggers it but sometimes I'd hear a word or phrase and just keep repeating it under my breath without noticing

Thank you for your new episode! Today was horrible for me. It went from a thought to a circle where I couldn't distinguish between right and wrong anymore.

Now I get it! That's what they meant by Behaviour Therapy! I thought behaviour therapies were all physical like preventing hand washing, and it doesn't suit Pure O. Turns out, it could also be mental like ruminating, since it's also a behavioural act. Thank you for letting me know the definition of CBT.

Never knew this was a thing. I'll randomly get an idea for a new art project or a way to rearrange my apartment and it consumes me. Unable to concentrate on work or anything else for days sometimes

What's the difference between rumination and exposure? I used to think that me thinking an unwanted thought all the time is an exposure and not rumination

I ruminate a lot, Most of the time Its about past events or experiences I have had because of how it made me feel, But it usually starts with a trigger and then I ruminate, Being triggered and not letting the ruminating to start would be good as well, But not sure how to do that one, Still good information,

I think to help me stop ruminating, I have to eliminate the triggers, and I have to shift my focus onto something else.
