To stop ruminating. All you have to do is stop interacting with the ruminating thoughts. Don't push them away and don't interact with them. Like clouds passing by. You can see that the cloud is there. You see the are passing by. You see they come and go on their own. Like fish in a fish tank. You look at them. But you don't stick you hand in the fish tank to touch the fish.

Be aware of you're thought. Know that their there. Observe them. But don't interact with them. Don't push them away. Also don't take them so seriously. There just thoughts. There harmless. They can't jump out of your brain and bite you. There not real. Also agree with all your thoughts. Pretend that they are all real. Let them bother you. Create tolerance. Before you know it. They all go away permanently.

Exposure and Response Prevention is the #1 therapy for this.

It's so hard to stop ruminating when u know that the thing u ruminating about is totally out if your control so everytime you try to stop thinking about it your mind tells you if u don't ruminate u might miss on some crucial information to solve that problem...but uk it's not even an existing problem in the first place....Do u have a solution how to defeat this kind of thoughts ?

The main things I worry about is if there is something wrong with my health and it's balancing exposure with: what if I actually need to go to the doctor now before it gets worse.

And then it turns out all or my symptoms are in my head.

You think I'd learn 😭
