Ooof. In 2021, I had a surgery for an inguinal hernia and the surgeon somehow sliced into my appendix without realizing it, stitched me back up, and sent me home.

I had been at home almost 2 weeks in searing pain (which, I did just have a surgery, so that kind of checks out). The major sign something was actually wrong was when I tried getting a glass of water and wound up falling down the stairs like a sack of potatoes.

Nurses were honestly amazed that I managed to survive, despite quite a bit of internal bleeding, as well as a very serious infection that put me in the hospital for nearly three months. In that time span, I had watched Blazing Saddles enough times to remember the entire script verbatim.

Worst part was that my surgeon eventually just threw his hands up and sent me to another hospital, because my nearly dying from his mistake was somehow an inconvenience for him.

A kid here was confused with a 20 y/o .
Basically the kid and the man had the same first and second name, the kid came for a sinple surgery, but the man needed to remove one of the kidneys due to a problem with it, they drugged both, when the man's surgeon checked the area the kid was complaining about on the man's body, he found nothing wrong, so he went to the kid's surgeon and checked the names. Luckily no surgery had started, and they later switched patents

Turns out the nurse sent them to the wrong oproom .
