I absolutely trust your recipe...the cookies were the superstars for my family. I just made slight changes, just used the yolk and discarded the white and added a teaspoon of cocoa powder to the dry ingredients because I love the lingering taste of cocoa in my mouth. The outcome was a batch of flat, thin and super crunchy cookies. This recipe is for keeps. Thank you.

I bake for my wonderful quiet neighbour and I usually bake my cookies thicker, because I myself like the thicker, chewier cookie but last night, I didn't have time to let the dough sit as long as I normally do so that the cookies don't flatten and when I baked them, I was bummed because they were too thin, too crispy. I went to give them to my neighbour, debating on whether to actually give them to her or not (I was just going to make another batch) but I always keep one cookie off to the side and this morning, I tried one, and they were actually good! Chewy, soft, a bit crispy but thin and it suprised me. I also modified my recipe and used less flour than normal but I think this one is a keeper!

I followed the recipe to the letter but mine were an epic fail for some reason. They spread all into one cookie and the outside was incinerated within 7 minutes. Are we sure I shouldn’t have refrigerated the dough? Silly me I should have taken a photo. Thanks
