Anker's PowerHouse Is The Biggest Battery Bank I've Seen

preview_player

The Anker Powerhouse lives up to its name: with 120,000 mAh/400 Wh of theoretical capacity, it's nine pounds of pure aluminum-clad power. When we talk about battery banks, normally we mean the kind of battery you slip in your pocket to power your Pokemon hunt. This ... is not one of those. [ABOUT THIS REVIEW]

This video was published after four days with an Anker Powerhouse review device, on loan from Anker. This was enough time for one charge/discharge/charge cycle, during which the Powerhouse was used to charge a MacBook Pro Retina 15, Galaxy Note 7, Moto Z, and an undisclosed mobile device.

Charging a note 7 on this is like charging a bomb on a bomb

Y'know I'm so glad you're talking about this and not the Note 7. Everyone else is still doing the Note 7 vs the Note 5; the Note 7 vs the S7 and S7 Edge; the Note 7 drop test; the Note 7 camera review, the Note 7 add nausium, it's disgusting. I'm just so glad you're not doing all of that shit, and you've moved on from the Note fuckin' 7, and you're getting on with the business of doing tech reviews. Good on you man... This is one of the reasons why I remain a subscribed fan.

This should've included a USB Type-C charger, since a lot of laptops support that now and that would be more efficient than converting from DC to AC to DC again, through the wall charger.

~33, 000Wh in a gallon of gasoline, 400Wh in this thing... You've almost certainly held more potential energy in your hand before. Just sayin'

I can see how this would be great for emergency power during storms and power outages. Pair it with some rechargeable flashlights and a radio and you'd be good to go. Or better yet, they should make a version with a built-in weather radio and lantern.

I'm glad to see a reviewer considered the charging efficiency matter finally

And I thought the 50, 000 mAh battery you showed was huge!

So
120, 000 mAh = 2 hours of smartphone charging
4 hours of laptop usage

I expected more from a 120, 000 mAh battery.

ingenious device. The only thing I worry about is that the batteries are not replaceable.

You and Flossy Carter are the only TechReviewers on Youtube that don't get annoying over time by acquiring a pretentious narration style (RIP Juan Carlos Bagnell). I find that super unpleasant to listen to. Keep it up Michael, your videos and your delivery are spotless!

Best review of this device that I've seen yet! Thanx aplenty!

As a truck driver, this would be good for running my Dometic fridge on. Charges while the truck is on and takes load off the truck batts when it's off.

Have to admit, the industrial design of this product is astounding compared to the competition that costs significantly more sometimes.

Wow, honestly I didn't even know this kind of powerbank existed lol. Looks pretty awesome. I just recently bought a Choetech 15, 600 mAh powerbank that supports QC 2.0 and I couldn't be happier. More than enough for me lol.

As always great video Mr. Mobile keep them coming :)
