I opted for the ANKER 767 as a compromise between cost and capacity. I paid $1399+tax for this 2048 watt battery. My plan is to use it as a UPS for my computer and internet router, and for recharging iPhones and iPads. Expensive, yes, but better than leaving it in the garage doing nothing, which would require monitoring and recharging every three months. In a power outage, which happens every now and then here in SWFL, I’ll use the 30amp RV outlet plugged into a compatible power inlet box directly wired to my breaker panel to power my 120 volt breakers only. (switching off all my 240 volt breakers first, of course). I’ve experienced two long term power outages due to hurricanes here … 10 days and 7 days. The 767, off course, will not carry me through for that length of time, so my dual fuel 2000 watt generator (gas & propane) will recharge the 767 in about two hours. The 767 will easily carry me through overnight, perhaps as much as 18 hours, so I should be “good to go” with running the generator only once a day for two hours, without noise disturbing neighbors for any greater length if time. Thanks Matt, for the review, great to know it will power a full size refrigerator for 2 days. Was going to test this myself, but haven’t done it yet. Save me time.

Always check the numbers on the inverter, that 30A “RV plug” is only capable of doing 20A (2400/120V = 20) I really like this unit too, but more and more vendors are doing this shifty stuff. Read the specs and do the math, don’t let the marketing division feed you, feed yourself.

A 300w hairdryer would take forever to dry my mullet. Hair driers (at least here is Australia with 240v) are generally 2000-2400W.

There is at least 1 majors issue with this product ! Reversed polarity on AC outlet in UPS mode !

Amazing! Been trying to work out how long I could keep a portable freezer running with one of these. That’s exactly the info I was looking for. Thank you. So if I was to add the solar panels I could easily keep a freezer of ice cream cold for a 3 day event right? What size is your freezer may I ask?
