I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for...

The best investment one can do right now is investing on real estate though stocks are good but ever since I swapped to real estate, I've seen so much difference.

I've watched like 20 other videos about this so that I can be prepared. Yours was by far the most elaborate and helpful!

My advice, be sure to choose a brokerage that's doing well in the area(s) where you plan to work. This is so very important. Do your research! For example, if most homes being sold in your target area are only $300K, then would it make sense for you to choose a brokerage that charges high commission rates? If few people in your target area can afford homes that cost more $300K, then chances are, they're not going to hire a realtor working at some expensive brokerage. These days, people are looking for every possible way to reduce expenses. They're now hiring discount realtors only charging 1% commission. This is especially true in isolated and rural areas where people often hire cheaper realtors working at off-brand brokerages no one has ever heard of. Everyone is trying to save money. If it's luxury homes that you want to sell, then make sure your brokerage is located in an area that sells luxury properties, and it has agents who can help you in that market. Luxury is highly competitive, because understandably, experienced agents will want to get the most commission from the time and money they've invested in running their real estate businesses.

Thank you for this video. I never thought about asking for a sample contract, but I will definitely start asking. I’m a new agent. Currently interviewing with some brokerages.

Thanks again for this amazing video! 😊

She does a great job reviewing the essentials of questions to ask. The most important comment she made was to remember that the broker is the asset and that the company needs you almost more than you need the company.

Hi Charlotte! This was very helpful and informative. Thank you so much. I am wondering, how are the brokerage- new agent interviews initiated? Should I call around and schedule? Or is it more of something you call and do the same day? I'm assuming its not a walk in. Should I first ask them if they are accepting new agents?

Thank you so much for these questions! I interviewed 2 of 3 team leaders from KW and the other never responded back after multiples attempts of contact. One of them wanted someone with experience and the other I'm not sure how to proceed. I want to join KW and a team but I just didn't vibe with her...
