Thank God! Finally i have been able to find a video that i can use for lecturing in Music Appreciation. Just hope that students will be able to understand. Still have to orient them first about Western music

Charles Rosen's book "the Classical Style" has been the most informative text I've read about the Classical period. I like to think of the Classical period as the time where compositional devices began to be introduced so that music can work on a larger scale, like periodic structures and promissory notes. Rosen's book points out that voice leading in the Baroque was more linear, leading to music that was written in a more limited scope as a consequence. It makes sense when you compare the Baroque dance suite to the Classical sonata, having as many as six or more small movements compared to three, sometimes even two larger movements. Its a shame Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven wrote nothing for my instrument, the classical guitar. Even Mozart's Sonata Simplice K.545 can be quite challenging to play as a guitar arrangement!

Who else came here because their own professor doesn't expound on the subjects enough?

The Emperor at the time of Mozart was not Franz Josef, but Joseph II. Franz Josef lived much later. In fact he was the penultimate Emperor of Austro Hungarian Empire, Joseph II was a Holy Roman Emperor. However in the reign of his nephew Franz, the Holy Roman Empire lost of its power and was renamed the Austrian Empire because of it. At a later date the Austrian Empire was renamed the Austro Hungarian Empire because of loss of power.

i always heard bach called the "jazz guy" from the baroque... mzoart as the punk rock rebell and beethoven as the heavy metal one... i still think the most metal of them all is paganini. or at least he was the shredder xD

Your comments on Mozart's money issues are a little inaccurate. He could have been finicially stable but was very irresponsible with money. It was not the fault of the patronage system of his time, but more a problem with him unable to not spend his money on extravagant things.
