Another problem that farmers don't have but households might is that a compost stack needs to be a certain size to keep heat inside, if it's too small the heat will dissipate ?? I get a good mix of n+c /h20/02 inside my (store bought compost bin) ..it warms but never steams...

My compost is comprised of kitchen scraps and dead crispy leaves and is always just sludge. 😝 Never really turns into soil. Not enough brown?? A few months ago it got steamy for the first time and I was so excited. 😅 Must have gotten something right. But it didn't stay that way.
And what do you think of black soldier flies? I appreciate them processing my compost but I feel like I'm left with a heap of dead larva and not much compost. (I use a compost bin with a lid.)

I’m in Orlando FLORIDA where I have seen a couple fruiting coconut palms but they are about 20ft tall how can I keep the smaller size 3-4ft coconut palms alive during our winters here !!

Ping star will lower ph. Make sure u buffet with lime. Also the pile needs to be at least a 3’ cube in size

Another reason why it won't get hot could be because you don't actually turn the pile right. Instead of just 'moving' a chunk of the pile(like this guy), you should spread it and get rid of the lumbs. This really aerates the material.

David. It would really help others that have learned to do things the conventional way is if you tell them upfront, this is what you do because I've been doing and proving this method for 10 years. Gardening brings much satisfaction. Thanks for sharing.

SIZE!!! When I changed my compost pile height by just a foot it went from 60 degrees to 100 in a day! Can’t wait to check tomorrow!

The solution? The cold compost method. I have been doing this for over 50 years. Don't be so impatient!
