I'm on Panipuri street food hunt in Mumbai India but on the local train right away a friendly Indian man offers to show me around his area of the city. At different Pani Puri places he keeps buying me food until I cannot eat no more. Once again as a foreigner I experience Indian hospitality.

"Mr. Hamant, such a kind human being, opened his wallet without any hesitation and paid for the Indian treats—no gimmicks like many do.

God bless you, Mr. Hamant. I hope I spelled your name correctly."

Hospitality is one of the virtues that deeply rooted in Indian culture and you can see in all over India. So, people treat strangers with high respect. Whereas no one would do like that in the west.

I would avoid it❤ I did not see any hand sanitiser being used, I would not be able to eat out like this sadly but fun to watch you doing it !

Welcome to India Mr. Madly Rover. Mr. Hemant's hospitality was great, but I would like to inform you that Pani Puri was founded in Magadh, south Bihar. Also, you get different types of pani puri and the names are different in different states of India ( In maharashtra and southern part its knows as pani puri, In delhi its known as gol gappe, in kolkata its known as puchka, In odisha and bihar its Gupchup, In other norther part its known as pani ke batashe and so on) The basic ingredients for pani puri is a mix if boiles mashed potato with onions, green chillies and mixed spices and tinge of tamarind water to make a paste to fill the puris and dipped in spiced tamarind water. Also served in sweet water for those who can't digest spice. Thanks

In Mumbai, they don't add potato filling in the paani puri unless you request them.. By default, they add 'ragda' filling which is made from cooking dried white peas. It is actually a healthy alternative.
