I spent the last 3 years at Microsoft working as a Product Manager and I've both interviewed and conducted interviews throughout my years. In this video, I will show you how a Microsoft Interview looks like, how many you'll have at each stage, and provide sample questions so that you know exactly what to prepare for.

What you'll find in this video:
@00:00 Intro
@00:25 Interview Breakdown
@01:16 Call with Recruiter
@02:58 1st Round Interview
@04:22 Final Round Interviews
@06:14 Skills and Attributes MSFT is looking for
@08:40 As Appropriate Interview
@10:38 Levels at Microsoft | Program or Product?

Key Attributes Microsoft is Looking for:
Customer Focus
- "Tell me about a time when you received a customer complaint. What did you do?"
- "Tell me about a time you failed to meet the customer's needs"

Adaptability and dealing with ambiguity
- "Tell me about a time you faced ambiguity in a project"

Collaboration and communication
- "Tell me about a time where you had a conflict with your team"
- Communication is evaluated throughout your whole interview - remember to be concise and structured in your answers.

Diversity and inclusion
- "Tell me about a time when you had to help resolve a conflict between two colleagues (or students)"

Growth Mindset
- "What has been your greatest achievement?" or "Tell me about a time when something didn’t go the way you wanted at work"

Drive for results
- "Tell me about a time when you’ve gone above and beyond the minimal requirements of your goal. What were the results?"
- "Tell me about the most difficult challenge you have faced"

Influencing without authority
- "Tell me about a time where you had to influence someone but you didn't have authority over their work"

Problem Solving
-Problem-solving will be product design questions and, in some rare cases, strategy questions. They can ask you things like: How would you improve your favorite product? or How would you design an elevator?
