I cannot begin to describe how little I'm looking forward to saying this title to strangers while working in a cinema

I thought this sounded like a Key and Peele sketch, and it turns out it was (more or less)

Simon's expressions throughout remind me of Homer in Simpsons scenes where you see what's going on in his head when he';s not listening to people.

Seems people are not being judged by the content of their character.

I've only seen trailers for the film but it doesn't seem to be showing anywhere near me lmao

I think if one fully watched this film and did not think it got its message across in the way it needed to, did not fully understand the concept of micro aggressions and a simple act of change. Every statement about the Black experience does not always have to be experienced loudly.

Also delves into a greater Hollywoof issue in which a light-skinned black man is the lead.

Caught this last night. Very enjoyable, full of laughs, good acting, but probably didn't do its main cause justice until the penultimate scene. Its focus seemed to pull away from its initial premise to a standard romcom, which was a shame. Wasn't wasted time, wouldn't avoid it completely. But at the same time, I wouldn't rush back to see it

This was the basis of a great joke in the final series of Community delivered by Elroy. It’s a shame Mark doesn’t like it. I hope when I see it I enjoy it more. It’s a great premise that could say a lot.

Feel like one of those films you have to watch for yourself to decide as reviewer bring their own baggage to the party

A 2.8 IMDb score feels like a smear campaign which makes me want to see the film even more now
