Played a friend's copy for a few hours on release day, and I have to say I was pretty impressed. We were both quick to remark on how natural the open world felt for a Sonic game, as though it's a move they should've already made a long time ago. Will definitely be picking it up for myself in the near future

I got Sonic Frontiers for Christmas, am on the last island, about 30 hours of playtime so far. I'd give it an 8/10, it's no masterpiece but it's an above-average game. It can be frustrating at times, reminds me of many classic NES games in that regard, and I never could figure out the Light Dash (luckily, it's pretty much optional). That being said, I love the beautiful environments, most of the Cyber Space stages are great, and the whole game in general just has an addictive quality that keeps me coming back for more.

I'm so excited to play this. I'm happy to see Sonic getting the love and chance it deserves. From what it sounds like if they improve upon this formula we'll be seeing more quality Sonic games in the near future

It took me a while to realize that I need to stop watching reviews for games I'm about to buy because any review of a game is from someone who sits in front of a TV playing for 12+ hours at a time and I rarely have a gaming session last longer than 2 hours. So my feeling towards the game is completely different. Also my feelings are usually way more positive due to lack of fatigue.

What was said in the video and the final score don't seem to line up to me. Based on this review, it should be at least an 8, not 7.
