This video was helpful to me. I am in nursing school and my pharmacology books have been mentioning the P 450 like it was common knowledge. It has been some time since I took bio-chem, and so this connection was helpful!

Your videos are dated 2012, are you still posting new material??? You are wonderful! I could really use #21, Pharmacogenomics! Thank you!

really thank you for the explaination of CYP450 name... the books dont tell us that, and when someone does, its like, i deserved it? so yeah thanks for making me question myself

Thank you so much for this. All my college lecturer ever does when he's trying to teach us this stuff is draw loads of random reaction mechanisms on the board without actually explaining it in the context of pharmacology like you have here. He's never even mention cytochrome p450 before! The whole thing is so much clearer now! Thank you again!

i thought NADPH transfer the electron to FAD which then transfer it to FMN and is then transferred to cytp450?

So, you make a mistake at around 6 minutes when you're explaining what 3A4 means. Just to clarify, none of them mean the family or subfamily of the drug, but they all mean the family, subfamily, and isozyme of enzymes?

This is awesome, the explanations are explained very nicely without being too lengthy.
