Great video, NinjaNerd! Thanks alot!

Tip for Boozing students: eat some honey after a night on the town.
As your NAD+ gets consumed to metabolize EtOH, you're depleted in it the morning after (hangover).
You need NAD+ to keep your sugar metabolism going (glycolysis)
By eating honey (high in fructose) you're restoring NAD+ levels
(fructose-->glyceraldehyde-->glycerol, with the last step making NAD+ out of NADH)

Or...just drink less ;)

Finally! Finally, finally; after literally years of searching for how ethyl-glucuronide gets into urine I have started to learn the answer. I am a drug and alcohol counselor whose only education in chemistry has been from self-teaching. As a counselor, one of the banes of my vocation is telling someone they have an EtG positive UA result. Actually, UAs in general are a bane. I don’t like not understanding something so important. So I searched for an answer. I know how the liver breaks down alcohol to acetate etc., but no clue to where the EtG or EtS came from until now. Well, more to learn so onward through the fog. Oh, and thank you for an easy to understand answer.
