I had a pair in red of the LSX one, but sold them after less than a year because the app (or should I say apps) drove me crazy. I hated the remote too. Good to see they've listened. Shame. They sounded great.

I agree with your enthusiasm for these speakers, but at $1, 400 they're kind of pushing the envelope of affordability. Not sure if you're in the US, but Accessories4Less is clearing out KEF's A quality refurbs at $799. Given that the drivers and the amp are the same, I'd opt for the refurbs and a Wiim Mini streamer (by passing KEF's connect app) and call it a day.

Is it possible to connect a smartphone to the USB port via an otg cable?

My problem is that I can't really judge how to connect the LSX I to the computer. I would think that via 3.5 mm is the best connection (just like my Logitech are connected)? For the LSX II, I would use USB.

KEF has the LSX 1 on special for half price. Looking to use them hooked up via TOSLINK / computer use. Is the only issue with version 1.0 the wireless connectivity issues?
