I love my little dog who struggles with confidence. Watching him overcome his fears and gain confidence to be a dog is so heartwarming. He’s still curious but he’s just timid. Other dogs and people see if and he improves so much with every interaction and his agility is amazing. Once he realizes he’s capable with encouragement he’s going to be a star

My Pit freaked out, screamed, and ran under the picnic table because a leaf landed on her back. We laughed so hard. Even the Border Collie laughed. She came out of from under the table wagging her tail feeling silly. She's not normally afraid of a lot of things. I wonder what she was thinking about when it landed on her?

We chose our puppy, jasper, because he was the smallest of the litter at the time and held his own. He tried greeting us and the most dominant of the litter pushed him aside. Jasper clapped back and then relocated to say hi. He loved all of us equally, which was really important for us. But overall, what I'm looking for is a glint in their eye. Something that says "I'm here."

Interesting! I've not ever seen trainers teach prospective owners how to identify certain traits in puppies. This can help someone choose the correct pet. ❤

Is it a puppy? It's good.

We have a VERY anxious dog. She is still ABSOLUTELY a winner.
All dogs need homes, ESPECIALLY those who have been through some shit and lost some confidence.

There's a similar test with humans: if you can turn off it's TV and it doesn't act like you're killing it then you got yourself a keeper
