I always send a conference sheet with a snapshot of how the child has been doing (behavior, reading/math levels, assessment scores, etc.), then I leave an option for the parents to choose if they need a phone conference! There’s a section I include that requires for the parent to sign acknowledging that they read the form & are aware of their child’s academic standings. It saves a lot of time for parents who don’t have time for conferences & for a teacher who hates doing them 🤣

Let me tell you.... Your students already go home and tell their parents how cool you are... THAT is why your conferences went so well; the parents know you love their babies! Trust me, I have an 11 year-old 6th grader and even though I took him out to homeschool this year due to COVID (since he could not get vaccinated until recently), I have been SOOO fortunate to have the absolute best teachers for him every single year.

So glad I never had to go into a conference concerned about how someone was treating my kid... Keep up the awesome work - those great meetings are a reflection of your dedication!

Kindergarten PT conferences were virtual but as staff we came on campus…. The parents I expected showed up and then one grandparent came on campus … it’s definitely a long stressful process
