Hello lovers of the Gelli art! Happy Easter! I'll lead you through my printing process, and also give you quite a few tips and tricks about how to print with etching inks- and when to use acrylic paint instead!

Materials used:
Gelli Plate A4 size (8" x 12") by Gel Press
Acrylic paint: Golden Open slow-drying acrylics/ black
Etching ink: Akua lamp black, phtalo blue, Cadmium red medium hue
Brayers for acrylics and etching inks
flexi glass or glass
Fabriano sketch paper 90 gsm, A4 size (8" x 12")
Deli paper
copy paper for excess paint
pencils: Faber-Castell Polychromos black, dark indigo, prussian blue, nougat, Caran d'Ache Luminance white
Fabric felt pen white
Edding 4085 chalk marker, white
Pigma Micron size 005 black and blue, size 01 black
Uni-Ball Pin fine liner extra fine brush tip, black
tissue paper
baby wipes
Spontex black gloves
cooking brush with silicone tip
some feathers
an artificial deco nest, or a self-made from weeds/ straw
Some cardboard packages
scissors

I've never tried etching inks on my gel plates. Perhaps I'm scared of ruining them! I'd be interested in any exploration you might do of different pens, inks, paints, etc. and how they react on the plate. You certainly seem to get more fine detail with the etching ink. So interesting. Thank you again.
