I wish and hope Zoya Akhtar writers and gives us more stories in the form of films or series. Love her stories.

Instead of repeated appearance of Hritik and Karina, there should hv bn more people including Ram Gopal Varma, Gulzar, Anurag Kashyap, Rajnikant, Kamal Hasan, Vishal Bhardwaj, Shekhar Kapur, Mani Ratnam, S. Rajamauli, Subhash Ghai, Aaditya Chopra and some serious film critics & historians. Why no bytes from Alvira and Salma Khan? More from Dharmendra and Shatrughan Sinha. And most importantly, their biggest critic Naseeruddin Shah should have been there. May be in S2, I guess.

it would be much better if they make a docu-drama with actors. because the angry young men has nothing news..the interviews they are giving is way better then the documentary

Angry Young Men is a documentary on Salim Javed
I am a deep fan of both . I have read every worthwhile word about them . I have seen every worthwhile video about them . I have met both of them . I have seen every worthwhile movie of theirs . I have even seen their biggest flop Imam Dharam - which I disliked because I have been an atheist since infancy & more because it had Amitabh with a moustache - a no- no for me !
I want to ramble on not as a fan but as an Invisible Selling trainer that this docu is a bad idea businesswise . It may have been financed by Salman et al not to earn a profit and that s a different matter .
Obviously I m gonna see it though I am sure I ll find nothing new - I m gonna enjoy seeing it . But there are very few deep fans out there like me .
A documentary is the most boring way of telling a story . It is usually low budget, has a cast of characters who will use boring language & keep talking at the camera while staying at one place . It just does nt have spills & thrills
A docu drama would have been a better idea with explanations at the end as to what was added for drama . One of the best docu dramas in the world is Pumping Iron which was originally to be a docu. Arnold - the genius that he is - said no to it, saying it ll put people to sleep & suggested the docu drama instead .
If that does nt happen I ll die angry

My Review of ANGRY YOUNG MEN
Mr Salim Khan and Mr Javed Aktar both are geniuses in their field. Goes without saying Deewar was their best work.

However, if you ask this question to someone who is now in his 50’s will say I watched this movie as a kid keeping in mind Amitabh Bachchan. (Hrithik Roshan was completely faking it). Until I grew up I didn’t know what function does a director does OR a screenplay writer does. For me I’m watching a movie. There was no difference for me Don and Mr Natwarlal both were good. So is Muqadar Ka Sikandar, Naseeb, Satte, Pe Satta or Lawaris. I still don’t know who wrote those movies as at that time a kids used to get engaged with the main hero which was Bachchan.

Overall the documentary was below my expectations. On the following counts.
a.) I have seen various interviews of Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar interviews on YouTube. They are far more engaging, entertaining and hilarious. You must watch Salim Khan on Kapil Sharma's show. It’s a treat.
b.) 2yrs back YRF did the same for Yash Chopra on Netflix. It’s only a tribute by the kids to keep their parents happy in their old age. It is boring after a certain point everyone he saying the same glorified version in different ways. Mere Baap acha hai and all that.
c.) There are so many people giving their views like SRK came for a bite etc. Salman Khan hardly spoke anything and he started the show I’m scared of giving this interview. There was hardly any footage of Amitabh, poor Dharmendra hardly spoke wonder why he was even given a 2 bit.

There were far more inside stories: Why did Zanjeer was refused by so many of them? The story bought the script from Salim Javed and sold it to Dharmendra who went to Prakash Mehra for him to direct. Soon after Dharmendra promised his sister that he would never work with Prakash Mehra. Hence the search started.

There are so many things which I wanted to know like
Which movies they did post the split?
NAAM, KABZA - Salim Khan and various others didn’t do well
BETAAB, ARJUN, DACAIT, MERI JUNG - Javed Akhtar
Did they miss each other while writing it?
Their last combo hit was MR INDIA.
Some public opinions of that time, were the black marketers who became millionaires. The stories of the craftsman or the theatre owners etc would have created much-needed juice.

I feel it was created just to keep the 2 old men happy!
So all this 4-star etc is simply publicity stunt.
