I used to listen to the Sholay audio cassette on repeat, week after week, that introduced me to the power of script writing very early in my life. Salim Javed understood the craft of screenwriting and filmmaking better than most directors in the Industry. Indian cinema owes so much to them; and it's sad that the industry learnt so little from them. I hate to see them grow old, wishing them love, good health and long life!

I am someone who grew up on these films. Those dialogues were worth remembering, the whole concept of 'punch dialogues' I think was created by them. I still remember I would hear the audio cassette of Sholay almost everyday. I still know the film by heart as dialogues.

I just watched *Angry Young Men*. It was a really wonderful documentary. There was this segment where they explained why they created the "Angry Young Man" character, referencing iconic roles like Amitabh Bachchan’s in *Zanjeer* and *Sholay*.

It's okay to have aggression, but how you use that aggression defines the character. I just thought that Sandeep Vanga should have taken lessons from legends on how to write a character who channels aggression in a better way.

Films like *Animal* and *Kabir Singh* are a black mark on our society. Characters like these should never, ever be written or made.
