I spent eleven years working customs and encountered this designer junk almost daily. It's what got me into producing 'quality' leather products. People spend far too much on designer junk. It's just sad.

This is another great review - I especially appreciate your opinion on how much you would/wouldn't pay for that wallet. I've been trying to view my leather purchases in that way (quality and craftsmanship) instead of looking at the brand label.

He is right and I agree with that plastic feel the the designer/luxury products. I will say this though...talking to my SA at Coach. She was explaining/justifying the use of these coatings, finishes, and pebbled leathers. Most/ all us typical consumers do know how to or care to care for natural leather. Yes the finishes take away. BUT if you are not going to clean, condition, properly care for THEN YES THESE FINISHES ARE A NECESSITY
